January 2014 Board Meeting

January 14, 2013 at 7pm
Directors Present: Katy, Cindy, Leslie, Kaci, Carole, Rebecca, Angela

Retail Space & Community Center Conversation
As a board, we had a great conversation about next steps for opening a space. We’ll be meeting on February 8th to walk through some of those steps.

1% of Domain Store Sales to Austin Creative Reuse
On Friday, the Whole Foods Market Domain store will be donating 1% of their store sales to Austin Creative Reuse! It’s a huge opportunity for ACR! We do hope you’ll be able to shop on Friday. You’ll essentially be making a donation to Austin Creative Reuse…

Upcycle Event Coordinator Needed
We have a great event coming up in April and we need a coordinator to wrangle volunteers, materials, and crafts.

Commercial Real Estate Agent Needed
We’re officially aggressively looking for a retail space and we could use the talent of a commercial real estate agent to help us look for the first home of Austin Creative Reuse.

If you’re interested in either the event coordinator or real estate agent volunteer work, please email info@austincreativereuse.org.

1% of all Whole Foods Market Domain Store Sales to go to Austin Creative Reuse

Whole Foods MarketHoly smokes! The opening of the highly anticipated Whole Foods Market in the Domain is going to be one epic week!

To celebrate, Whole Foods Market is donating 1% of all Domain store sales on Friday, January 17th to Austin Creative Reuse (ACR)!

Maybe I should say that again.

Whole Foods Market is donating 1% of all Domain store sales to ACR on Friday!

If you shop at the new Domain store on Friday, you’ll be effectively donating 1% of your sales to Austin Creative Reuse!

We’ll be there all day from 10am to 7pm. From 6-7pm, we’ll be hosting an in-store craft in their new community room (which we hear is an absolutely gorgeous space). We’ll be making envelopes, 3D stars, and gift tags out of cereal boxes.

Join us, won’t you?

FAQs

Can I shop at any Whole Foods Market for the 1% donation to Austin Creative Reuse?

No! It’s only for sales at the new Domain store located at 11920 Domain Drive, Austin Texas  78758!

Does it count if I shop on any day other than Friday?

Sorry, no! It’s only for sales on Friday, January 16, 2014.

Are there any limits to how much I can shop that will benefit ACR?

Nope! Shop ’til you drop, my friend.

Is there any other way I can help?

Sure thing! We’ll be setting up a booth all day at the Domain store to spread the word about Austin Creative Reuse. We could always use another pair of hands at our booth or during our craft night from 6-7pm. Email us to sign up for a shift at info@austincreativereuse.org.
