This workshop is a great way to stretch your imagination legs, become a true ‘reuse artist’ and make something completely unique!

The Trail Conservancy is hosting its annual Earth Day Jubilee on the Butler Trail! The Butler Trail is a natural sanctuary in the heart of Austin that plays a vital role in our city’s environmental and ecological makeup. To celebrate, they are hosting a free, family-friendly community event featuring live music, eco talks and workshops, interactive Earth-friendly activities, a market by Austin Flea, food trucks, hourly giveaways, face painting and more!

ACR will be there with a free collaged button-making activity, suitable for all ages!

“Community Swaps are a space for our community members to meet up, give away items they no longer need, acquire those that they do and participate in sustainable living. Bring it. Trade it. Leave no trace behind. Bring your paints, brushes, crafts tools and supplies for this month's swap.”

Participants will learn how to transform 2-D foiled paper into 3-D flowers and create a very full bouquet! Each participant will make a bundle of flowers home to enjoy for years to come. You can put them in a vase or use them to decorate cards. Once you learn how to make the hyacinth, you can apply the same foiled paper techniques to create so many other projects!

Need a daily dose of nostalgia? This workshop will teach you how to transform a VHS case into a purse! The instructor will walk you through the entire process (plus demonstrate lots of handy add-ons) and participants can then make a purse perfect for their needs. This project can be customized to your skill-level, so it’s great for experienced and beginner artists.

Participants are welcome to make as many flowers as they want while developing this new skill, and you can choose from a wide range of project to add them to. The possibilities are truly endless, but a couple examples would be a assembling a flower bouquet/vase, embellishing a picture frame or decorating a flower crown or shadow box!

You will be introduced to techniques, and options to collages whether it is to sew, glue or other ways to adhere materials. Sorting & Packaging is going through all the tiny odds and ends, sorting them by like items and packaging them for the floor. If you enjoy creating order out of chaos, this is the opportunity for you!

Great opportunity for families! Ages 9 & up are welcome, participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Enjoy an afternoon of demos and hands-on activities with artists and makers from the Central Texas area. 

While you're there, get information about the Pflugerville Library’s Summer Reading Program. Stop by the Pfab Lab for a tour, see a 3D printer demo, and visit the children's area to enjoy different crafts.

All ages are welcome to attend. No registration required and this event is free.

ACR will be at the event with two free crafts- Imagination Creation (freestyle crafting project, attendees can create whatever their heart desires!) and Fabric Sample Bags (Our lovely volunteers will sew the heavy-duty fabric samples into simple bags/purses in advance, which attendees can then decorate using ribbon, buttons, lace/trim, etc to create a beautiful and functional masterpiece).

Live your 90's disco ball fantasy with this mirrored mosaic sculpture workshop!
You will learn the basics of mosaic work, as well as creating a mosaic on a three-dimensional surface. Participants will go home with a gorgeous flashy sculpture!

This workshop is appropriate for ages 11+ only (yes, adults, too!).

Participants are welcome to make as many flowers as they want while developing this new skill, and you can choose from a wide range of project to add them to. The possibilities are truly endless, but a couple examples would be a assembling a flower bouquet/vase, embellishing a picture frame or decorating a flower crown or shadow box!

Walk-ins are welcome in this unique workshop, where participant can come and go as they please! Each participant is expected to spend 30-40 minutes in the class. Tickets at the door will be $12.

The instructors will guide you through the process of laying out a base, pairing, twinning, and creating a rolled rim, and participants can choose to create a hanger for your keeper with an assortment of cords and beads from ACR.
