Educator Materials Drive – FAQ

Why are you having a materials drive for educators?

Part of our mission is to foster conservation through education and who better to help us with this goal than our local teachers and we’d like to support them.

I work with kids, but I’m not a teacher. Can I still participate?

Yes! If you work with kids in any capacity (scouts, day cares, etc.) in Austin and surrounding communities, you are welcome to attend our event!

I don’t work with kids. Can I still participate?

Yes! We’ll be opening the event up to the public at 12pm on October 13th. Please do not arrive before 12pm if you’re not an Austin area educator.

Why are you opening the event up to the public?

We learned a lot from our first Educators Material Drive! After working so hard to collect materials for our educators, we still had a lot left over. We will not be able to store any material after the event, but we want everything we collect to go to a good home. Therefore, we’re opening up the remaining materials to the public.

How much does it cost?

The event is pay-what-you-can. Monetary donations will be accepted. NOTE: We will not be able to accept material donations at the event.

I’d like to donate! Where can I bring materials?
