September Reuse & [Re]Think Winner: Jill B!

Last month, we challenged our community to reimagine chopsticks and y’all really made it a magical month to remember! Our panel of judges happily went through submissions for this Reuse & [Re]Think Contest, and we’re excited to announce the winner - Jill B!

Jill not only made beautiful wands out of these utensils, but also began using them as practical sewing tool with her students at a local high school where she volunteers as a fabric arts teacher:

“I teach the students to use their magic wands to hold and guide fabric under the machine needle so that they don't accidentally sew over their fingers. They also use them to poke out the corners of turned items. And when a machine is acting up, we can ease the tension and frustration by waving a wand around and saying a little spell!”

We could cry. Our judges loved the application of this tool at a creative, practical, and emotional level!

Congrats, Jill! We hope you enjoy your ACR gift card, and thank you for all that you do as a fabric arts teacher!
