How-To: Make an Accessories Holder with Plastic Cutlery

 
 

Want to make a one-of-a-kind accessories holder using 100% reuse materials? Follow this tutorial made by our Community Engagement Manager, Tanya!

 

Tip: Floral foam cones work well for these! I found this “tree in a pot” shape in the floral section, so I went with that.

 

Cut the spoon and fork ends off, leaving about 1/2-1 inch or more of the handle to stick securely into floral foam. Keep the offcuts - these will come in handy later!

 
 

Add some hot glue to the cut ends of the utensils and stick them into the floral foam. Forks can be used for hanging earrings; handles and spoons for ring holders.

 

Hot glue pipe cleaners and pom-poms to fill in all of the floral foam’s empty spaces.

 

If you feel that it might become unstable when accessories are added, shove some handles or forks at an angle at the base for stability.

 
 

Add your accessories and you’re done!
