Reuse & [Re]Think Challenge: Shells

From prehistoric tools to dazzling jewelry, shells have been a frequently utilized item for human creativity throughout history. Now, we want to see what ideas you’ve got! For this quarter’s Reuse & [Re]Think Contest, we’re challenging you to creatively reuse shells of all kinds!

Submission:

Once you’ve completed your creation, please provide at least 2 photos of your art piece, your contact info, and a short description of materials used. Email your submission to rethink@austincreativereuse.org by the deadline.

Creations will be judged on incorporation of reuse materials, craftsmanship, and creativity.

One winner will be notified and receive a $25 gift card to ACR that can be redeemed either in center or our online store. They will also be announced on our social media.

PS - Please remember that seashells contribute to the health of a shoreline. We recommend ethical shelling practices if you plan on collecting your own, or better yet, nabbing some from an already made project or purchasing bundles from materials donated to yours truly!
