Austin Creative Reuse captains “Creation Station” at Tesla Project held at Canopy on July 5, 2014

IMG_20140705_154311902With over 800 attendees at this years Tesla Project (a celebration of all things Nikolai Tesla), our “Creation Station” was swamped with inventors young and old making cool new stuff out of stuff ACR rescued from the land fill. Here's our recipe for the fantastic fantasy gizmos :

  1. Start with old boxes, tubs, toilet paper tubes and trays
  2. Add buttons, bolts, bottle caps and corks,
  3. Secure with tape, glue, binder clips and string
  4. Mix in imagination and resourcefulness
  5. End result is something amazing!

image-4The whole event was overseen by ACR's own “landfill” robot named NIK (Nosensical Integrated Komputer). Many thanks to Women Printmakers of Austin for hosting us in their beautiful workspace. We're looking forward to holding more “Creation Station” events in the future.
