The delight of making and receiving handmade baskets cannot be told enough. In this workshop, participants will learn how to read patterns and use their new skills to weave a basic basket. Each participant will go home with a completed basket to enjoy or give as a gift! Baskets will be roughly 6” wide and 6” tall, perfect for napkins or muffins!

In this workshop, participants will learn how to create their own printmaking designs using upcycled materials such as cardboard, yarn, corks, plastic, and more. After constructing your printing “plates”, you will pull your own unique prints on sustainably sourced paper and other surfaces to take home. Gain skills in the basics of the printing process to continue on your own at home!

Join us at Austin Creative Reuse’s fifth annual Spring Reuse Market, featuring some of the most unique artisans and crafters in the city! With over 40 vendors each day showcasing the best reuse pieces including jewelry, home goods, upcycled clothing, and more, you’re sure to find something to treasure. New for this year will be our Kids Mini Market where we will host kid creatives and their reuse artwork. There will be a food truck and free family activities both days, and live music on Sunday. The center will open an hour early on Sunday to coordinate with the market start time so you can shop both inside and outside! Rain dates will be the following weekend: Saturday April 5th and Sunday, April 6th.
