Can fashion be both stunning and sustainable? This show reveals the answer. Experience highlights from ACR's 2025 fashion show, where artists renew and transform materials – fabric remnants, architectural samples, pop tabs, ticket stubs, newspapers, and more – into extraordinary creations. Explore the ingenuity of upcycled fashion design, challenging conventions and inspiring a future where creativity and conservation collide.

Learn to make beautiful origami to compliment your gifts and daily life! Paper can be more versatile and functional than plastic and zhuzh up anyone's routine. Reusing junk mail, left over magazines, and even cardboard can beautify and satisfy. You can send a message to the people in your life with the gift of time when you gift your origami.

Join Kelly (she/her) in our community space (next to the Office Section) to play with pretty paper and practice origami! This is a FREE drop-in event, so you can stop by anytime between 12-3PM to participate.

ACR at Wishbone Bridge Opening & Ribbon Cutting Celebration

The completion of the Wishbone Bridge marks a milestone for the Butler Trail, completing the 10-mile loop and creating a seamless, traffic-free experience for Trail users! Join The Trail Conservancy and the City of Austin on Saturday, February 7, from 10AM to 12:30PM for a celebration and party on the plaza and be one of the first to enjoy the new pedestrian bridge, underpass, and benches.

ACR will be on hand with a fun origami activity hosted by our core volunteer and origami queen, Kelly!

Join ACR at St. Elmo Brewing for their Dog Party Valentine’s Day event! This event celebrates the release of their Dog IPA and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Austin Pets Alive! ACR will be on hand with a dog-themed origami craft, led by our amazing core volunteer and origami queen, Kelly.

The Reset: A Sober Volunteering Social

Looking for a fun, feel-good way to stick to your Dry January goals while giving back? Join us for a sober-friendly volunteer social where you can connect with other like-minded folks who are choosing to skip the drinks and do some good.

We’ll spend the evening processing donated materials that will head back into the community for local artists, teachers, and creators to transform into something special and give a second life. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space to meet new people, support creativity, and have fun—no alcohol required.

Neighborhood Litter Clean-Up

Join Austin Creative Reuse and Keep Austin Beautiful for a neighborhood litter clean-up! We’ll meet at our center (2005 Wheless Ave) then split into groups to pick up trash at various sites around the neighborhood.

  • Cleanup supplies will be provided on-site. If you prefer you may bring your own gloves.

  • When picking up litter, Keep Austin Beautiful recommends participants do so responsibly and at their comfort level.

Youth Volunteers: All volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. Independent registrations submitted by minors are not permitted.

Come join us for a fun afternoon volunteering and connecting with other members of your community! You will help us process some of our "specialty" fabric! We will measure, roll and price material like silk, minky, batting, linen and much more. One of the best parts is that you get first look at all our amazing fabric to buy too!

The Reset: A Sober Volunteering Social

Looking for a fun, feel-good way to stick to your Dry January goals while giving back? Join us for a sober-friendly volunteer social where you can connect with other like-minded folks who are choosing to skip the drinks and do some good.

We’ll spend the evening processing donated materials that will head back into the community for local artists, teachers, and creators to transform into something special and give a second life. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space to meet new people, support creativity, and have fun—no alcohol required.

Two New Year’s resolutions with one stone: community connection and positive impact. ✨

Spring Reuse Art Market Vendor Applications Open

Our next Reuse Art Market will be the weekend of March 28-29, 2026.

Vendor application are open now and close on Sunday, February 1 at 11:59PM.

All applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by Thursday, February 12.

ACR will contact all applicants from our Artists@AustinCreativeReuse.org email address. We will not use any other email address or means of communication to communicate with vendors. If you receive a suspicious email from someone claiming to represent ACR, please email us at Artists@AustinCreativeReuse.org to verify its authenticity.

FREE Make & Take: Origami

Learn to make beautiful origami to compliment your gifts and daily life! Paper can be more versatile and functional than plastic and zhuzh up anyone's routine. Reusing junk mail, left over magazines, and even cardboard can beautify and satisfy. You can send a message to the people in your life with the gift of time when you gift your origami.

Join Kelly (she/her) in our community space (next to the Office Section) to play with pretty paper and practice origami! This is a FREE drop-in event, so you can stop by anytime between 12-3PM to participate.
