Community Programs & Services

We strive to offer programming that is accessible to everyone. We provide a variety of educational programming, including hands-on activities at community events, which give opportunities for young (and old!) minds to play and explore. Come try out an unfamiliar craft or medium, or learn new ways to reuse common items or incorporate reused items into traditional arts and crafts. We aim to make reuse fun and appealing, and to joyfully celebrate the choices people make to incorporate reuse into their lives and conservation decisions.

Free Make & Takes

  • Our creative reuse center is more than a store. It’s a vibrant community hub where all kinds of people can come together to explore and create. We provide free Make & Take workshops in our center to help inspire visitors to look at creative materials in new ways, offer an opportunity to try something new and help ensure that visits to our creative reuse center are fun and engaging.

Reuse & [Re]Think Contest

  • Who doesn’t love a good contest and a healthy dose of competitiveness!?  Every quarter, we will name the material and you will give us your best solution on how to reuse that material.  What can you make from a slide carousel? How about wine corks? Wooden architectural samples?  Exactly how creative are you? Submit your creations for a chance to win an ACR gift card. 

  • Make something original out of our reuse material of the quarter, then enter it in the contest by filling out the form!

Reuse Material Bulk Orders

  • Non-profits, educators, and scout leaders are eligible to receive FREE* reuse materials in bulk for their organization or classroom! Check out the materials available on the order form.

    * All orders subject to mandatory $10 order fee.

  • Fill out this order request form. We will review your form and let you know if your order has been approved. Then you’ll pay the $10 order fee and we will let you know when it’s ready for pick-up.
