2022 Holiday Reuse Market - One for the Books!

Back in September, as we put out a vendor call for our 3rd annual Holiday Reuse Market, we could not have anticipated the response that we would get. We ended up with over 100 applications - many from artists that had never sold at a market before. Rather than cut more than 1/3 of these folks, we made the decision to expand our market to two weekends!

In the end, we had 91 unique vendors brave the cold, wind, rain, and unseasonable humidity to showcase their creations to the wider Austin community. It’s hard to imagine us ever going to back to just one weekend, but we’re also not ready to commit to two every time…yet.

ACR’s Board of Directors held a raffle for items that they created, skills they would teach, and quilts donated by the Austin Modern Quilt Guild, and two individuals, Jude & Anne. The 8 items raffled off generated over $1,500 that went directly towards our staff benefits fund.

Thank you to everyone who made the market such a success - the vendors for participating, the shoppers for supporting local artists, the volunteers and staff for their work organizing and executing the plans, and to anyone who helped spread the word about the event!
