Kids Handmade Mini Markets
If you visited ACR last September, it’s likely that you heard about our first Kids Handmade Mini Market! Being our first Kids Mini Market, we weren’t sure what level of turnout to expect, but we were blown away by the response! The event, which was held in our classroom behind the Retail space, attracted a large crowd of families and art enthusiasts who came out to support the budding artists.
The market featured a wide range of artwork, including jewelry, succulent planters, crochet creations, clay sculptures, and paper maiche masks, all created by talented young artists. It was inspiring to see kids as young as 7 years old showcasing their artwork with so much confidence and enthusiasm.
The event was not only a great opportunity for the young artists to display their work, but it was also a chance for the community to come together and celebrate creativity. Our Kids Handmade Mini Market was a reminder that art is not just for adults; it's something that everyone can enjoy and appreciate.
The organizer of the Mini Markets, our Programs Coordinator Molly (she/her), has participated in her fair share of markets in recent years. Through her own small business, she has vended at over 40 markets and knows what it takes to organize a successful market. Molly is dedicated to supporting young artists and organizing the most fun market ever!
Because our first kids mini market was a huge success, we have scheduled 10 more markets in 2024, over 5 weekends! We can't wait to see what the future holds for the talented young artists in our community and hope to host these mini markets for as long as we can.

We're looking for vendors!
Know a kid aching to be an artist and entrepreneur? Help them apply to be a vendor at our next Kids Handmade Mini-Market! This market is indoors, affordable, low stress, super friendly and a perfect entryway for kids ready to test the waters.
Applications close: Friday, January 12 at 11:59pm
Approved vendors notified on: Wednesday, January 17
Application Fee: $5
Vendor Fee: $15
Qualifiers: Items sold must have been created by the vendor (ages 5-17), but they can receive assistance from an adult. Items must be largely made using reused or sustainable materials.
