Reuse & [Re]Think Challenge: CD Cases

We’re thrilled to announce the newest challenge in our ongoing Reuse & [Re]Think Contest! This quarter (July - September), we're setting your imaginations free with a material you might not have considered: CD cases!

Although those ubiquitous plastic rectangles (or circles) that once housed our favorite music are piling up in landfills, we know that there are all kinds of cd cases that can fit into this category. Therefore, here at Austin Creative Reuse, we are keeping this challenge broad in terms of what holds a cd or disk. We're challenging you to transform these everyday disc holders, from the flimsy paper & plastic ones to the hard shell cases, into something extraordinary. So dust off those old cd cases (or hit up our center to get one for 25¢ or 5 for a $1!), unleash your creativity, and enter for a chance to win a $25 ACR gift card!

Submission:

Once you’ve completed your creation, please provide at least 2 photos of your art piece, your contact info, and a short description of materials used. Email your submission to rethink@austincreativereuse.org by the deadline.

Creations will be judged on incorporation of reuse materials, craftsmanship, and creativity.

One winner will be notified and receive a $25 gift card to ACR that can be redeemed either in center or our online store. They will also be announced on our social media.
