Community Volunteering: Fabric Categorizing

  • Austin Creative Reuse 2005 Wheless Lane Austin, TX, 78723 United States (map)

Help us conquer the mountain of fabric that we get donated!

This session is all about turning a big pile of mixed, random fabric into neatly sorted categories that will go on to be measured and rolled by other volunteer groups. This project is great for people experienced with fabric and novices alike. If you're new to fabric, we will assign you a single category to find, such as tulle or leather, making it so easy anyone can help out! One of the best parts is that you get first look at all our amazing fabric to buy too!

This opportunity is best suited for those 12 years old and up. Must be 15 years old or accompanied by an adult to volunteer.

Community Volunteering takes place inside Volunteer Land, located in the back of the center across from the restroom. Look for the large green wall! You can sign up for a spot here.
