Community Volunteering: Measuring Quilting Fabric

  • Austin Creative Reuse 2005 Wheless Lane Austin, TX, 78723 United States (map)

Our Community Volunteer days are a time for anyone who would like to lend a hand come in and volunteer. Join us for one of our largest, ongoing projects - measuring and sorting quilting fabric! We’'ll be measuring each piece of fabric and sorting it by size. The project is broken down into small steps so that everyone can do it, no matter their experience level (or attention span!).

As an added bonus for all you quilters and fabric lovers out there, not only will you be helping us with one of our highest need projects, but you also get first pick on all the beautiful materials you sort!

This opportunity is best for folks ages 14 & up. Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Community Volunteering takes place inside Volunteer Land, located in the back of the center across from the restroom. Look for the large green wall! You can sign up for a spot here.
