FREE Make & Take: Marker Monoprints

  • Austin Creative Reuse 2005 Wheless Lane Austin, TX, 78723 United States (map)

Join CJ Sketches (https://www.cjsketches.com/) for a vibrant, hands-on Marker Monoprint Make & Take at Austin Creative Reuse! Dive into the playful world of monoprinting—a spontaneous, one-of-a-kind printmaking technique—and create bold, layered artworks that reflect your unique creative voice.

What You’ll Explore:

🎨 Easy Monoprint Magic: Use markers, recycled materials, and simple tools to design colorful prints. Draw directly onto a plate, press to paper, and watch your creation come to life!

🌈 Unpredictable Joy: Embrace the surprise of monoprinting—no two prints are alike! Layer colors, textures, and patterns to build dynamic compositions.

📜 Take-Home Art: Leave with a set of unique prints to frame, gift, or turn into cards, journals, or collages.

Why It Matters for Mental Health:

🌱 Mindful Play: Lose yourself in the tactile, meditative process of printmaking. Focus on the present moment to quiet stress and spark joy.

🌿 Embrace Imperfection: Monoprinting celebrates “happy accidents,” teaching resilience and flexibility—a metaphor for navigating life’s twists.

🌸 Creative Confidence: Experiment freely without judgment. This workshop is about process over perfection, nurturing self-expression and curiosity.

💡 Shared Inspiration: Connect with others in a lighthearted, judgment-free space where creativity becomes collective therapy.

No experience needed! All supplies provided—just bring your imagination and willingness to play.
