Love Letter Writing with Trans Texas

  • Austin Creative Reuse 2005 Wheless Lane Austin, TX, 78723 United States (map)

Join Trans Texas (https://www.transtexas.org/love-letters) and Austin Creative Reuse for a heartfelt evening of crafting love letters to spread hope, affirmation, and connection! ✉️💖

What You’ll Create:

💌 Handmade Letters of Love: Use reclaimed scrapbook paper, stickers, washi tape, and colorful materials to design uplifting letters for those in need of encouragement. Write messages of support, resilience, or joy—every word matters!

🎨 Creative Reuse Magic: Transform discarded materials into beautiful keepsakes, proving that even “scraps” can become treasures.

🌍 Community Care: Your letters will be shared with individuals facing challenges, reminding them they’re not alone.

Why It Matters for Mental Health:

✨ Healing Through Giving: Writing affirmations fosters empathy and gratitude, boosting your own mood while uplifting others.

✨ Combat Isolation: A single letter can remind someone they’re valued, reducing feelings of loneliness.

✨ Mindful Creativity: Lose yourself in the meditative process of cutting, pasting, and writing—a calming break from stress.

Materials provided by ACR. Feel free to bring personal mementos (photos, fabric scraps) to add to your letters!
