Material Donation Drives
Hosting a material donation drive for Austin Creative Reuse is really easy! Follow the best practices below and you’re sure to have a very successful collection!
Material Donation Drives - Best Practices
Set a date and a duration for the collection.
Select the items to collect. Based on your audience and interest, you can choose to collect anything on our itemized list, or just a group of specific items like arts and crafts supplies.
Send out communication a few weeks in advance so folks have plenty of time to start collecting materials at home and at work.
Send out a reminder about the drive the day before.
Place containers (large cardboard boxes work) in areas that are near employee cars (or wherever you are hosting the drive) and clearly label the containers.
Collect materials.
Schedule a time to drop off the collected items at ACR.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
