Celebrating Our Biggest & Best Reuse Art Market Yet!
ACR held our sixth annual Holiday Reuse Art Market this past weekend, December 6 and 7, 2025, and after crunching the numbers we can safely say this was our biggest and best reuse art market yet! Thank you to all of our vendors, community partners, attendees, staff, board members, and volunteers for making this event such a success and for championing creative reuse in our community!
Over the course of the weekend, we saw record high attendance of roughly 1,400 visitors, with approximately 20% of those being new to ACR (welcome!). We hosted 111 vendors and 12 community partners over the two days and around 250 visitors participated in our five-minute volunteering activity to help restock the Materials Mobile for its next school visit (thank you!).
Speaking of volunteers, this event wouldn’t have been possible without the 38 wonderful volunteers who dedicated 133 hours of their time before and during the weekend to making the market run smoothly. From making signage to checking in vendors and community partners to answering attendee questions to passing out 440 pounds worth of makeshift tent weights on Sunday when the wind picked up, these folks were integral to the success of the weekend (thanks y’all!).
New for this year, we offered the option of mini booths for kid vendors or vendors who are new to selling their wares or have limited inventory. We had 19 mini booth vendors this weekend and are proud to offer vending opportunities for vendors of all experience levels. We love seeing kids and less-experienced crafters getting to share their makes with the larger community, in addition to the experienced artists and craftspeople who have been vending with us since our first reuse art market in 2020!
Also new for this year were the addition of a food truck (Mexcita) and a coffee truck (Casita’s Cafe), whose delicious tacos and caffeinated beverages kept everyone going throughout the weekend.
We also had a holiday photo booth hosted by ACR’s very own Peyton Sims, who in addition to being an amazing reuse specialist is also a fabulous photographer! Attendees had the opportunity to take photos with their families, friends, and furry friends, perfect for holiday gifting!

A major highlight of the weekend for us was the adoption of “Shiloh,” one of the adoptable dogs that Austin Animal Center brought with them on Sunday. We’re thrilled to have played a small part in Shiloh’s adoption story!
We’ve received a plethora of positive feedback from our community about this market (which we so appreciate!), including:
"Thanks for hosting this! It was wonderful to see a market full of artists and makers, rather than the MLM and drop shipping that has taken over so many markets. We really enjoyed the vibe and supporting local artists!"
"The ACR staff and volunteers did a FABULOUS job with the market!! It was non-stop busy and the energy was great! So many shoppers commented on how impressed they were. Thank you!!"
The weekend may have just wrapped up, but we’re already looking forward to our next reuse art market in the Spring, so stay tuned for an announcement about that soon! Our newsletter subscribers will be notified first, so make sure you’re signed up for our newsletters if you’d like to be the first to know about upcoming events such as this one.
ACR’s Reuse Art Market is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
