This workshop is great for people who want to learn how to make high quality candles out of fire safe vessels that can be found at Austin Creative Reuse or around their home, ie: coffee mugs and glazed pottery. This class will review some of the wax options in the candle world, where to purchase high quality fragrance oil, facts about essential oils and candles, how to vet a vessel and it's ability to be a candle, wick sizing, and how to pour a candle. You will make 1-2 candles, depending on the size of vessel you choose. You will go home with 16oz of candle in total!
This workshop is appropriate for ages 10+.
