Workshop: Paper Flowers (Walk-Ins Welcome!)
Participants are welcome to make as many flowers as they want while developing this new skill, and you can choose from a wide range of project to add them to. The possibilities are truly endless, but a couple examples would be a assembling a flower bouquet/vase, embellishing a picture frame or decorating a flower crown or shadow box!
Walk-ins are welcome in this unique workshop, where participant can come and go as they please! Each participant is expected to spend 30-40 minutes in the class. Tickets at the door will be $12.

Want to kickstart your journey with sustainable slow fashion? This workshop will demonstrate how to utilize upcycled fabric to create wearable pieces of art! Participants will learn how to use fabric scraps to create custom applique letters, motifs and patches.

Workshop: Altered Book Art
Have some old books collecting dust but you canβt bear to part ways? In this workshop, participants will learn how to create both 2D and 3d artworks using old books and other mixed media with recycled objects, such as impressive paper sculptures and collaged keepsake tins.

Workshop: Graduation Cap Toppers
In this workshop, you will learn how to make gorgeous paper flowers to decorate your graduation cap yourself! All participants will be able to freestyle their decoration using a wide array of materials- we recommend that everyone come with at least 3 inspiration pictures to guide their creative journey.
This workshop is appropriate for ages 16+ only (yes, adults, too!).

We hope each party ignites a passion for repurposing and reusing natural materials. During this Craft & Herbal Tea Party, attendees will learn how to carve dried avocado seed slices into buttons!
This workshop is appropriate for ages 11+ only. Minors do not have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the workshop. Adults must come inside to drop their minor off with the workshop instructor. Drop off begins 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, and everyone must be picked up at the scheduled end of the workshop.

This workshop is great for creatives who love fabric and textiles and want to create a collage! You will be introduced to techniques, and options to collages whether it is to sew, glue or other ways to adhere materials. Participants will go home with knowledge, inspiration and a collage (or the start of a collage if they go on the same, long detail journey as Careen does!)

Workshop: Watercolors 101
This workshop is great for people with little to no experience with watercoloring. You will learn the basic skills - from paintbrush types, watercolor forms, and paper. Participants will leave with the new skills to aid in their watercolor journey at home!
This workshop is appropriate for ages 18+ only.
Workshop: Father's Day Cards
Some of the techniques used in this class will be heat embossing, splatter ink and stamping. Participants can also experiment on their own and see how tearing and sanding foiled paper creates an awesome effect! The instructor will have a wide range of materials available, but a majority will be hardware/tool or wildflower themed.
This workshop is appropriate for ages 5+ only (yes, adults, too!). Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If the adult is there only to assist, they do not have to purchase a separate ticket for themselves. If the adult wishes to participate as well, they must have their own ticket.
Workshop: Intro to Embroidery
In this workshop, students will learn several basic embroidery stitches as well as an overview of embroidering patterning and finishing options. While participants practice their embroidery skills, they will be creating a beautiful design to go in their home!

Live your 90's disco ball fantasy with this mirrored mosaic sculpture workshop!
You will learn the basics of mosaic work, as well as creating a mosaic on a three-dimensional surface. Participants will go home with a gorgeous flashy sculpture!

Workshop: Reuse Robots
In this workshop, you will be guided Master Builder and long-time ACR volunteer, Clyde, to reimagine the weird and wacky items that around found in our Bucket section- aka the items that have lived their first life and are looking for a new purpose. This workshop is a great way to stretch your imagination legs, become a true βreuse artistβ and make something completely unique!
This workshop is appropriate for ages 11+ only (yes, adults, too!). Minors do not have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the workshop
Workshop: Intro to Quilting: Foundation Paper Piecing
In this class, participants will be introduced to foundation paper piecing, which is a quilting method where fabric is sewn onto a paper template. Participants will choose from a few provided block patterns and make one 6-8β quilt block. You will leave with either a completed pot holder, or one block to take home and start a bigger quilt! We will also go over adding batting, top stitching, and bias tape to finish a quilt.
This is primarily a BYOM (Bring Your Own Machine) workshop and limited sewing machines are available.

Learn about hand sewing and various clothing repair techniques! This is a great way to both personalize your clothes and increase their lifespan. Participants will bring their own clothes to repair and decorate using fabric reinforcement as well as basic embroidery and sashiko.

Need a daily dose of nostalgia? This workshop will teach you how to transform a VHS case into a purse! The instructor will walk you through the entire process (plus demonstrate lots of handy add-ons) and participants can then make a purse perfect for their needs. This project can be customized to your skill-level, so itβs great for experienced and beginner artists.
This workshop is for ages 18+ only.
Workshop: Tea Bag Origami
In this workshop, participants will learn the art of Tea Bag Folding, which is very similar to origami, and made unique cards to gift for any occasion- a great option for Motherβs Day! Everyone will leave the class with 2 completed cards featuring Tea Bag Folding and supplies to make more at home.

Workshop: Beginners Guide to Hydroponics
Join us for a hands-on learning experience about hydroponic gardening! Hydroponics can seem intimidating, but everything will fall into place after this guided introduction and you will be able to continue on this growing method in stride! Whether you're a complete novice or just looking to improve your skills, this workshop is perfect for anyone interested in growing plants without soil.

Join ACR's own Barbara Paris for a morning of painting and exploration! In this class, we will learn to draw and then paint flowers in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe.
